On January 30, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) teaching staff, educational assistants, and early childhood educators from all schools across the Board will be participating in professional development in-person, focusing on report card writing/reporting. Below is the format that will be taking place throughout the day for each group:
Elementary
Length: Full day
Topic: Report card writing/reporting and Student Achievement Plan and School Improvement Planning

Presenter(s)/facilitator(s): School administrators
Description: The day is dedicated to report card preparation, reporting to parents/guardians, and ongoing communication between schools and home. Designated early childhood educators are expected to collaborate with Kindergarten teachers in preparing communications of learning reports for Junior and Senior Kindergarten students.
Secondary
Length: Full day
Topic: Board and school improvement planning for student achievement and well-being

Description: Schools will evaluate progress toward Student Improvement Plan (SIP) goals and recalibrate action plans to ensure continued growth. By analyzing semester one outcomes, schools will adapt instruction and assessment strategies to maximize student success in semester two. Additionally, schools will engage in cyber awareness training.
