We are very pleased to announce that Riverside Public School will be hosting our 4th annual EARTH WEEK CLOTHING AND SMALL HOUSEHOLD ITEMS EXCHANGE during the week of April 23rd-April 27th.

What is it?? Riverside students, families and staff bring in ***GOOD CONDITION (gently used) articles of clothing and/or small household items to be recycled, upcycled, OR “re-styled”!! Tables will be set up in the front foyer for students, staff and families in the community to come in and peruse. During the day, students will have the opportunity to visit the tables with their classes or independently during recess as per daily announcements. Students may take a maximum of 5 articles home. ***Parents, if you choose to come in with your child during the day to have a look then there is no limit to the number of items that you make take home. ***ALL ITEMS ARE FREE TO BE EXCHANGED!!!

When is it? Monday April 23rd through until Friday April 27th or until “quantities last” from 8:30-5pm excluding the weekend.

****How can you help? We ask that you look for articles of clothing and/or small household items at home to donate!! Please bring items to the Riverside Library to be sorted, stored and displayed by our Earth Week team. ***If you could label your clothing by size, gender etc. this would be VERY helpful!!! Donations will be accepted beginning Wednesday March 28th.

If you would be willing to volunteer your time for this event in any way ( set-up, sorting, folding, directing students and families to sizes etc.) during this event please contact l.mcilmoyle@tldsb.on.ca. Once again, what a great way to celebrate Earth Week by recycling what we have at home for others to enjoy!
